Usually when I run a race the course goes through a regular park or neighborhood, but this weekend the course was beautiful! It was a 10K right up the road through Sabino Canyon. A few runners even pulled out cameras to take pictures while they ran.
About a mile and a half into the race I came across water flowing over several bridges. I had not expected wet feet but mine got soaked!
Since the race took me almost an hour, my family had time to look around the canyon. Trevor loved the rocks, of course, and Birch got to play with his camera. Tom and Nicole, my in-laws, were also visiting for the weekend and it was fun to take them to one of the prettier places in Tucson.

WOW! Way to go! Running takes so much time and hard work. I wish I had the motivation. My sister and her husband have been training for the Salt Lake Marathon and I had no clue how much work it is! Kudos to anyone who can do long distance running! that is awesome!
I've been wondering how it went. It looks gorgeous! And you look great, too :).
I wish I had the motivation to go out running like you do! Sabino Canyon is so pretty. When my parents came for Allie's blessing we didn't have time to take them to any of the pretty places in town and my stepmom was like, "Is all of Tucson so ugly?" Haha!
After I talked to you on Sunday about the race, Troy was like "how come you didn't run it"? So we both think that you are awesome!
Alright, superwoman! You are seriously hard-core. I wish I liked running as much as you look like you do! Some of those pictures are so good, too. I like the one of Trevor & Nicole. So fun! Hope we get to see you guys this summer.
Yeah-- it's Lori, ps.
How fun! I am so jealous that you got to run this race. Maybe someday my running skills will improve! It bet it was really gorgeous with perfect weather.
Hey - this is Dereks sis Kristi, I don't know if you remember me. I wish I would have known about the race - I totally would have run with you! How fun! It looks gorgeous! Next year maybe!
