Six Years and Going Strong!

This week Birch and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary! Sadly, there was no candlelight dinner or roses. Instead we were driving up to Flagstaff to visit family and had two crying kids as we looked for a good rest stop in the middle of Phoenix. How romantic!

I thought I'd post a few pictures of us growing up together. We are one of those rare couples who dated in high school, actually got married after the guy's mission and even knew each other as kids. Sounds cute, but we weren't friends at all until high school. Enjoy!

3rd grade class picture

6th grade class picture (There are also pics from 4th and 5th grade, but you get the idea.)

Spring Break in Rocky Point, 1998. The first time we talked, became friends and started to fall in loooove. Cheesy, I know!

Junior prom, 1999.

Hiking Picacho Peak after Birch's mission.

Wedding day, nice and hot in August 2003.

Oh my gosh, Happy Anniversary and wow, those pics were the greatest. Except I hardly recognized birch in that muddy pic... those muscles are way too big to be Birch! ;)

Congrats!
If you would like a romantic date without the kids feel free to bring them by. Aeden would love to play with Trevor and I could hold sweet little Haley. REALLY don't feel like you couldn't ask. I still owe you.

I think you are one of the few people that could actually hang up their prom pictures in their home. So cute. If you ever need a pit stop in Phoenix, you are always welcome here... we aren't that far off the beaten path...
Congrats on six years!

Congrats! Happy six years! I think it's so cool that you guys have know eachother for so long! You were ALWAYS meant to be together! It's so neat to know that there are other couple that have known their spouses since they were young. We have so much (more) to celebrate! I hope you had a good anniversary overall, despite the traveling! Congrats again! :)

Congratulations! And you've got to admit, August anniversaries in Arizona mean that, when ever you actually DO get to get out, hotel rates are CHEAP!
