Ball Soup

We've come up with some creative ideas to get a few fruits and veggies into Trevor. He used to be a great eater but has now changed his diet to include mainly yogurt and crackers. Last week we convinced him to eat a few bites of soup with these changes:

White beans = footballs

Peas = tennis balls

Sliced carrots = basketballs

He actually knows the difference between all the balls (thanks, Birch!) and it was much more fun to eat a bite of footballs and basketballs than beans and carrots.

We've also used balls to help with fruit. Trevor will usually eat applesauce if we top it with round rainbow sprinkles. Anything to get a few bites down!

Oh, I'm sorry, Camille! I didn't know you were using magazine cutouts... I though you printed stuff off your computer. Yeah, Mod Podge will make it wrinkle and bubble. Sorry!!

Your next best option (though not quite as permanent) is a dry adhesive runner. I use a Tombo runner. You can find it in the adhesive section of the scrapbooking stuff at Target... or of course, the craft store. If you have more questions, let me know!

Wow. You 2 are so creative. I might pass that info along to my cousin. She has a youngster who is about as picky as they come. Thanks for commenting on my blog. Now I can add you to my meager, sorry looking friends list. Hardly any of my friends are the blogging type. Can't really post pics of my kids. I might be able to for a few of them. I'll check with their parents.

What a good idea! Anything to get them to eat their fruits and veggies. My sister works for WIC and is always giving me healty snack ideas for kids... one that Brynlie really likes is the banana scream. It is just frozen bananas and milk.. the riper the bananas are the sweeter they are so you don't need any sweetner. I just cut the bananas up (pretty small so you don't break your blender) and then freeze them. then just pop them in the blender with some milk and it so good!

That is so cute! If I did that it would have to be princess pearls or magic wands or something.

Thanks, Melissa! I was wondering what to change the names to for a girl. :)

Hey! I saw your question on my blog about what to say to people trying to get pregnant. I think everybody's different, but for me, hearing things like "don't worry, you're still young" weren't helpful. Haha!! I'm sure you're not that insensitive. I think the best thing to say is "I can understand how that is so hard. We will pray for you" instead of trying to come up with other things to say.

Great idea! I'll have to save that one in the memory bank.
