Professional Clothing Manager

I'm the first person to admit I'm not big on fashion. But for someone who doesn't shop a lot or own that many clothes, I seem to always be sorting, organizing and going through piles.

Kids' clothes are always a problem since they grow so fast. Just when I have the right size clothes for the weather, something changes and the kids' clothes boxes come out again. I'm also open to taking any hand-me-downs and that takes time to go through the bags and decide what to pass on, what to use and what to store.

Since I've been pregnant and now had the baby, managing clothes for myself is the next challenge. How many categories can there be?
  • Not pregnant and in shape
  • Starting to show (need a rubber band for the jeans)
  • Full-on pregnant
  • Postpartum (back to the rubber band category)
  • Nursing (i.e. easy access for the baby and a little more room in the chest)

Since Haley was born I'm dying to go buy a few new clothes but I'd rather wait so that what I buy will fit and not just for these next few weeks.

I can only imagine what the closets look like for people who actually have a sense of fashion.

I totally agree with you. It is so hard. That's why I've given up on fashion until I'm done having kids :).

I agree-- it's crazy! Have you heard of bella bands instead of using a rubber band? They're great for the early stages of pregnancy and the postpartum stuff.
I bought some new clothes after I had Tristan. I couldn't stand my maternity clothes for one more minute. I figured I could always use them again for other pregnancies or postpartum stuff.

At least you are to the postpartum stage already. I'm at 7 months and wanting a whole new wardrobe, so I start looking at clothes online and then realize that I have no idea what size to buy! And I'm far too cheap to buy anymore maternity clothes since I have plenty.

I have a few "in between" wardrobes for middle stages/sizes. Each size has only three or four outfits and I wear the same thing for like a month. I hate it! When I am rich I will buy millions of clothes in wahtever size I need at the time and have plenty of room to store them all.

Hi Camille. Loved catching up on your blog. I'm glad to see everything went well with your pregnancy and that Haley is here safe and sound. What a relief! I miss our ward. I just saw the link to the Campbell ward on your side bar and took a peek. What a fun Valentine's dance that must have been, and such great pictures. I had no idea, by the way, that Josh Tieman is in that ward now. I went to highschool with him. So funny how people can come around again like that. Tell him I say Hi. I'd love to see his reaction. I was not exactly his favorite person in HS. Anyhoo...good to see you. You look great as usual.

That was such a fun and interesting post! I had never even thought of the different stages of bodies that women have to go through while in and out of pregnancy. Something to look forward to :) But since I know that you never spoil yourself you should go out and buy yourself something nice right now. I decided that we have to love our bodies as they are and not as we want them to be. So post-partum, pregnant, perfect runner's body...whatever. You deserve to feel beautiful as you are since you are!
