Hold On Baby, We Still Have 13 More Weeks!

I knew my first pregnancy was an easy one but I've appreciated it even more the last few days.

Tuesday night I woke up with some fresh blood so we drove to the hospital. Fortunately from the beginning our baby girl's heartbeat was strong and the ultrasound looked good. The doctors say part of my placenta separated from the uterus, causing the bleeding and along with it came some contractions. Nothing big but enough to hook me up to magnesium to make them stop.

Since I was admitted the bleeding has stopped and the contractions are almost gone. I'm just hot and woozy from the magnesium. They also gave me a steriod shot to help the baby's lungs get ready in case we had to do a quick delivery.

Women say every pregnancy is different and I think that's the hardest part for me. I've tried to treat this pregnancy just like my first but even before this incident it was not the same. The baby has moved less, I was more sick in the beginning but less tired, and my body has not been able to exercise as long. I guess it's a combination of pregnancies being different and your body adapting after already having given birth.

When I get home I will be under "light" bed rest: I can walk around my house and cook meals, but NO MORE exercise and no lifting heavy objects (like a toddler). At first it's a hard adjustment to get used to all at once but the excuse to relax sounds kind of nice.

I am so glad everything is okay. Not exercising at all is going to be hard, or getting out. Maybe you can lounge at the pool though.

That sounds scary, I am glad you and your baby are OK! Get lots of rest and ask for help when you need it (and accept all that is offered). Call if there is anything we can help you with!

What?? I'm sooo glad thing are okay. PLEASE let me know if you need anything. I still owe you for watching Aeden during Shay's movers and shakers. Feel free to cash in on that.
I'm guessing that's the reason that Birch didn't come to basketball. We were surprised he wasn't coming.
Call me if you need ANYTHING!

Yikes, that's scary!! Glad everything is okay and that you're being ordered to take it easy!
My pregnancy this time has been totally opposite from the one with Emma, too! I've been more tired and less sick, and much more "textbook" pregnancy this time!!

Ok yikes! I want you to call me for anything! I mean anything! I don't mind to drive and take Trevor off your hands anytime you need a break. I'm so glad everything is ok.

So relieved to know that you and the precious baby girl are doing OK. I've been thinking of you guys a lot and you will be in my prayers. At least it's only "light bedrest", right?:)

Camille, since you're going to be chillin' at home for a while, maybe I could swing by and visit you! I'm going to be in Tucson tomorrow and Wednesday and I'd love to see you! Email me (sp.merryleigh@gmail.com) with the best time (I will be down there by 2 in the afternoon tomorrow) and your phone number so I can get directions. Maybe I can do some heavy object lifting or something for you! :D
