I'm now on Day 5 of my hospital stay with plans to hopefully come home tomorrow. Even though I haven't had any contractions or bleeding since early Wednesday morning, my doctor wants me to be here for 4 or 5 days after to keep a close watch. Thank goodness for cell phones and WiFi to stay in touch with people!
I've never been a hospital patient before (besides Trevor's birth) so I'm learning about all the fun perks that come with it:
*Meals in bed, delivered without any cooking or cleaning on my part
*Free waxing (from all that tape they rip off your arm for IV's)
*A comfortable seat that I'm required to sit on when showering
*Hours of Food Network with no guilt
Seriously, I am ready to come home and get back to a somewhat "normal" routine. My biggest problem now is trusting that everything will work out okay. I have a million questions about when the baby will come, what may or may not happen until then and what I should do or not do. I've got a long list of questions for my doctor when she comes by in the morning, so watch out!
Thanks to all of you who have helped with meals, watching Trevor, calling, texting, visiting, etc. I'm not used to being a patient but I'm so blessed to have great family and friends!

Which hospital are u at? I hope everything's ok and that you get to go home soon (with the baby still inside!!!)
Glad to hear things are clearing up a little bit! I hope that with just taking it easier that everything else will be a little smoother! I can't even imagine how scary it must be to find blood and have contractions so early!
The Bed & Breakfast we stayed at in Patagonia was called "The Black Dove". It was really quaint! I'd never stayed in one before, but we loved how homey it was. The owners were really friendly, the room was nice and there was a living room that we could use with a TV. We loved the little side-yard that we played guitar and then watched the stars in, and it really felt like the middle of nowhere (there were literally dirt roads all around).
I'd highly recommend visiting that area after the rains start. It is beautifully green with grassy rolling hills and I think it's one of the most beautiful places on earth. I guess I am a little bit partial to southeast of Tucson though.
Let us know if you need anything!
I'm sorry to hear that everything has gone crazy! I can't imagine! I'm glad you're doing better and get to go home soon!
I am really just so glad that you get to go home tomorrow. I know it will be a relief in a lot of ways. You are seriously so awesome to be so positive about it all. I would still be complaining and crying and just a huge mess. And don't worry as to when she is coming. There is absolutely no way of ever knowing that even if the circumstances weren't what they are. You just focus on feeling better and staying happy! :)
I'm so glad that you are doing well. I found your blog on Bethany's blog. I hope you don't mind. I had no idea that you were in the hospital until yesterday! I wish I would have known sooner. Please let me know if we can help in any way. I don't know if I can help, but I've been on bed rest for a while so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask me. I'll help the best way I can. I'm so glad you are being positive. It's the best thing you can do. Keep it up! You're doing well! :) And I'm so glad you can go home today! We wish you and your family the best! Take care!
Holy cow, that's a LONG hospital stay! I'm glad everything has gone well, that can be so scary!
I didn't know you were still in the hospital! I'm glad you're finding positive things about it. I'll be back in town this week so let me know if you need any help with anything.
We get back next week... and we'd be happy to help with anything... Let us know. We can take Trevor, feed you, whatever is needed... You are in our prayers in the meantime...
I'm glad you're doing better. Wish I were closer so I could watch that adorable boy of yours! We're praying for you a little baby girl. :)
I love how you mentioned "free waxing" since I always make that joke with my patients when I take off their IVs and pull their hair.
So glad that you are home now. I loved playing with Trevor on Sunday so he is welcome to come by whenever so you can rest and he can blow off some steam.
I am so glad to hear that you are coming home soon! When we heard you were in the hospital, it made me think of a conversation I had with my sister a few weeks ago. I was asking about her pregnancies, and she told me that everything was completely normal with her first, and then her second pregnancy she went into preterm labor at 26 weeks. From then on, she was on bed rest and had to take medication 2 times a day to help her stay out of labor. I know it was a hard thing. In the end, though, everything turned out just wonderfully-- like the first time. I just wanted to share that with you in case it helps you. We have been thinking of you and praying for you so much. I hope you know that. I'm sorry that we haven't been in contact like we should have been. With Allen's knee injury and other decisions up in the air, we got way too self-consumed. We love you, though, and are thinking about you guys a ton! We will be so excited to meet this little girl in a couple months!
Oh- and I thought your "free waxing" comment was hilarious. :)
