I also want to try reusable nursing pads for this next baby. I've shopped around a little but I can't find them anywhere! I have found some online but I'd rather not pay for shipping if I can get them here in town. Have any of you tried reusable pads? And brands you liked or would you stick with disposable? My OB said she liked them but after a while they became mishaped and lumpy--not the most flattering thing.

I found some at Target and just washed them in a mesh bag with my other whites. The ones I found didn't get lumpy if I pulled them out of the dryer soon enough. The disposables are definitely more convenient when you're out & about.
So I don't know if you have already used it but the first time you shop at diapers.com you get a great deal including free shipping and 10 off. They carry allllll sorts of baby stuff including nursing pads. I think you only have to spend 50 dollars to get the offer, so it ends up being 40 but 20 of it has to be diapers. I would suggest checking it out because it was way worth it for us even though I hate spending that much money at once on diapers. I also found out about Lilly Padz on that website because they have tons of great customer reviews. Anyway, now that this is a novel I will just say call me if you have any questions about diapers.com. Phew....
Jen just had a baby and suggested lilypadz reusable nursing pads, and linked them to target: http://www.target.com/Lilypadz-Reusable-Nursing-Pad/dp/B000YOUIN6 so apparently you can get them there.
The Scotch thermal laminator works great. You can get it at Walmart for about $25, and the refill pages are about $7-8 per pack.
Hey Camille--
It's your cousin Mary. I'm so excited for your new little one! We are loving our little girl!
I really wanted to use reusable nursing pads--I got a pack (it came with 4) of the Medela brand and have really liked them. I got them at the little store inside our hospital, but I know that Target and other stores carry the Medela brand of pumps and accessories. Sometimes when they're soaked through or in the wash, I'll use reusable. Good luck!
Hope you're feeling better! Glad your mom was able to visit...I just love her!...what a wonderful lady!

Oops--I meant that when the reusable pads are in the wash, I'll use disposable. Forgive my mommy brain!
